Hope you don't mind my editing out some of your words, Tony.  Just wanted to throw my 2 cents worth in on the above couple of sentences:

Our concept of social reality is what has changed with/by all this PC garbage.  Language influences our worldview and conditions all our thinking about social problems and processes.  Thus, if one can hijack the language or assign radically (or subtly) different meanings to words or phrases (i.e. how Marxists hijacked the term 'liberal' and ruined it), one can more rapidly change social reality and thus circumvent traditional methods typically used to bring about legitimate social change.

Political correctness originated from the minds of radicals whose politics lean left.   Their purpose, originally, was to influence and dramatically change views on (and attitudes about) gender and race so as to create 'equity' (this approach/strategy has been adopted by others, such as handicapped groups, etc).  Unfortunately,  neither equity nor equality was really the true goal.  What was desired, I believe, was the transfer of social power from the social majority to social minorities.  In my opinion--the plan was brilliant and completely effective.  

Ultimately, what has changed is:  PC has brought about the legitimization of victimhood for disadvantaged social minorities.  And it is through 'victimhood' that minorities derive their power.   

If social minorities can frame arguments using words for which they've advantageously defined or changed meanings and insist (via threat of lawsuit, social unrest, boycotts, etc) that those meanings be used--their contentions and assertions are unassailable.  That is, the social majority cannot argue with or challenge them.  If the social majority does challenge or argue against the minority, social minorities have other words they also have defined for which they can malign the social majority and, ultimately, control it.  In other words--PC has silenced the social majority

Anyway--what do I know?  I'm just a simple South Texas boy who enjoys riding motorcycles.  But I still say:  fuck PC.

Bout the only thing I could add is, back in the 40's, 50's and 60's, this shit was never thought of because people gave and earned respect for their fellow man and woman. We all respected our elders, (still do to this day because of proper upbringin! Thanks mom and dad!!), even if we didn't know them just because we KNOW they had already earned it. And in So calif, we didn't know what racisism was because we grew up with such diversity.

Then here comes the children of the 70's. Those born from the liberal leftists. (Which is in itself a non PC word) You know, those that played little league baseball, on a team that didn't keep score and EVERYONE got to play. Little girls that got to be cheerleaders just because they wanted to be one and didn't have to try out for the squad. This was the era that started it all because they didn't want to earn their way and cried foul.

But I have my own defination of political correctness. Those pussies that use Pc words are those that are either too fucking lazy to earn their own keep or too stupid to know how and want a free handout. This will be the same person that give only 30% of their effort and claim your 70% as their own. This is also the very same one that does everything wrong yet it issomehow YOUR fault. Oops, wait a sec here. That last part is a democrat. Sorry, my bad.....Oh dont get pissy with me, I dont like republicans either.  LOL

Indeed.  You make a good point in linking PC with the attitudes listed above of those who worship at the shrine of PC.  I strongly believe that PC allows for 'wants' and 'don't haves' and 'degrees of fairness,' eventually--through the manipulation of words and ideas/notions--to become violations of Constitutional rights.  What I mean by this is: 

'I don't have health insurance.  Never mind that I don't work or pull my weight in society even though I am able to do so.  I want health insurance.  It's not fair that you have health insurance (never mind that you have worked your entire life and paid more than your fair share) and I don't.  That some and not all people living in the wealthiest, strongest nation in the world don't have health insurance is an unjust that can only be explained by the abuses/discrimination of the majority.  Why, this must certainly be unconstitutional. 

First of all, the above person without insurance is a fucking lazy, societal slug.  But, lazy isn't going to cut it and get him free health insurance.  Nor does it lend itself to proving unconsitutionality.  So, PCers redefine words and create phrases whose purpose is to obscure reality.  Thus, the lazy bastard described above becomes:

A non-waged person who is--by absolutely no fault of his/her own--motivationally dispossessed due to non-traditional success perpetrated by the dominant class's attempt at instituting and maintaining distinct and crucial social advantages over the disadvantaged, all the while keeping the disadvantaged economically marginilized and subjugated.  

Damn--give that motherfucker some health insurance, please.  I feel so guilty.  It is very clear that I--a working, white, male, person with more than two nickles to rub together--have clearly violated the above person's rights.  Shit I feel badly.  

To me, the greatest irony of PC is this:  those idiots who avoid using certain expressions that might 'offend' or 'exclude' socially disadvantaged people, are--by the very act of self-censoring their words or actions-- viewing themselves as superior to those whom they are trying to not offend  or  discriminate against.   Otherwise it'd just be two people of equal status shootin' the breeze.

Political correctness has gone mad in the U.K. Jumped up little people in suits telling me what i can or cant say or or think in case I offend 'minorities'. Well my attitude is fuck em, this is my country, where my ancestors have lived for generations so if you've got a problem with that fuck off outta my country if you dont wanna speak my language or live by our rules.
