Well the final numbers are in. Usually we wait for one week after the event for those still hospitalized but will not be necessary this year. Bikeweek 2010 proved to be one of the safest in the history of the event. This is a GREAT thing!!!

So now down to business.

Abid          #13
Pbusser     #09
Toni          #08
FTF           #14
HDW         #10

It appears that for this group, no one had the correct number. So iffin we go to the person with the closest number, that would be Toni!! The official number was 4 deaths.

I would also like to make a few personal observations I made this year.

As expected, this years people count was down from the last few years. Now I have seen some very wet events in years past, this year only had one wet morning. The temps were also way down as in record cold weather from years past. Averaged only 65 degrees all week. But the worst observation I made was quite disheartning to me. I have a habit of noticing every person I pass or ges by me in the opposite direction just to get a sense of what types of people are here. I was saddened to see that the majority of riders out on the roads this year were mainly the yuppies and older retired folks having all the fun. Now let me start by saying I kinda catagorize people in general terms. Not saying anything good or bad about them, (well, I might a little later), just putting things in perspective for my own purposes. So let me see here, I use the yuppies, (A givin), the older retired folks, the young up and commers, the dedicated biker types, the old soul hard core (old scoolers if you want to call them that, I just hate that term), and me & my Bros the 1%ers. Now Bikeweek is usually mostly comprised of the yuppies and the dedicated biker types as a majority. That being 65-75% of attendies out on the roads. The 1%ers is always the smallest contengency. What I found disheartning was there were so few old souls and dedicated bikers out on the roads this year. I hate to say it but the yuppies and older retired folkes showed ya'll up by 1000%. To be honest, I might have seen maybe 40 to 50 of you total for the week!! What gives? Iffin the yuppies can brave the cold, where are all you so called hard core riders?

The worst part is the powers of observation can really fuck with the old gray matter!! Especially when your gray matter is getting OLD!

Ya'll have a good day now!

SNITCHES ARE A DIEING BREED!

GOD FORGIVES, OUTLAWS DONT!

DONT THANK A VET, STOP BEING A PUSSY AND GO BECOME A VET!!!!

Well HDW2 this is where I agree with ya, “ride to your experience” . a fine example is my oldest son, never been on a street bike (he’s 34) so I let him ride my Road King to get the feel of it, he went up and down the street a few times and fell in love, said he is going to get him self one, told him to take a riding class first. He calls me up and says “hey dad I bought a bike and I’ll be over”’, well I’m thinking he got a small bike to start with and move up as time goes buy. After about an half hour I hear the sound of sport bike pull up, I went out side and there he was with his brand new bike, I walked up and gave him a big hug saying “son that’s one nice bike” tell I saw the size, that dum fuck kid of mine bought a CBR1000R for his first bike, I came unglued, a bike that does a 100mph in first for a first time rider I couldn’t believe it. What could I say to him, he’s a grown man so we go out together just so I can help show him the doo’s and don’ts. After a year of riding I think I have him convinced to get rid of it and get back in to dirt bikes,

Well, I think yur jealous, that's one fine performance sport bike, 100mph 1st gear ?, also stops very quickly, handles excellently. H/D's are for old men, that one's made for fun (especially closed course).

Hope I'm not a headline !!!

Well I wouldn’t use the word “jealous” but when a 10k dollar bike can clean a 22k+ dollar bike’s ass well yeah kind of makes ya think, but they both have their place in life and when I want a little excitement I’ll jump on his CBR and take a little ride. 100mph in first? That’s what the speedo had on it before the motor started craping out, been 180 in fifth, that my friend is a rush. Naw, HD’s aren’t just for old men,  the young pups can’t afford them,,lol,,

We always bag on each others bike, last year the wife and I was going to take a ride to Vegas, about 180 miles from us and the boy wanted to go, tolled him sure if he could keep up,( leaning over like they do on those sport bikes doesn’t look to comfortable, ) tells me “dad I’ll be there way before you” I tolled him he wouldn’t, so we head out, once we hit I-15 and out of Barstow area he took off, now I was doing around 75 and hell I couldn’t even see him before long. Coming up on the town of Baker I could see flashing red lights, as we past the CHP guess who he had pulled over, yeah my son, we keep on going, got to the state line, pulled off to take a smoke break, the wife checked her cell phone and had a text from him, said he was heading back home, he got a ticket, wouldn’t tell me how much, had the wife text him back saying “tolled ya wouldn’t beat us to Vegas”,,LMAO.
