Now normally I can give a shit about you fuckin yuppie fucks but but upon returning home from my boat and seeing this happen 500 feet in front me and pissed me right off. Right here is the fucking reason I hate these large bike events. This is the exact reason I do not let anyone other than a CLUB brother ride anywhere near me. Will you fucking morons that dont have riding expieriance please stay the fuck home!! And ladies, dont get on the back of some assholes bike if you dont know their riding skills, expecially when he has been drinkin. Death waiting to happen.
NEW SMYRNA BEACH -- A woman became the first reported traffic-related fatality of Bike Week 2010 when she was thrown from a motorcycle Sunday on South Atlantic Avenue.
New Smyrna Beach police responded to the crash about 4:30 p.m. near the intersection of 5th Avenue.
Police said two motorcycles travelling north collided, throwing the riders off one of the motorcycles. The man who was driving was taken to Halifax Medical Center in critical condition, officials said.
EVAC ambulance paramedics took his female passenger to the closest hospital, Bert Fish Medical Center. She was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said.
The identities of the dead and injured riders were not immediately released, pending notification of relatives.
Another motorcyclist was critically injured in a wreck on U.S. 1 in Oak Hill earlier in the day when a female motorist pulled out from the Country Kitchen restaurant in front of a string of motorcycles, authorities said. Other details of that crash were not available Sunday from the Florida Highway Patrol.
Personally I wish this event would go back to being a club function!!!
Ok, my fucking rant is over and I am going back to my cave away from you yuppie fucks!!!

It just seemed the thread was moving toward income and I dont think thats what HDW2 was talking about.
PSSS- Having said that, there all a lot of fucking idiots on the road these days where the last thing their dumb ass shoud come in contact with is a god damn motorcycle.
|
It's not about income.
What annoys people about yuppies isn't income so much as their values. They seem to believe a the worth of a person is measuured his ability to aquire status through possessions and exclusivity. On other sites, self-proclaimed "real bikers" who post about "yuppie fucks", have the same attitude, but its "alphabet" bikes, instead of BMW cars, and motorcycle clubs, instead of country clubs.
I can't imagine a patchholder walking into the coffee shop I frequent and addressing everyone there as "fuckin' yuppie fucks".
Ditto your PSSS.

Well here’s my 2 cents,
If ya seen Tiger Woods coming out of a Harley dealer all dressed up in nice new leathers and jumping on a brand new bike what would call him??
If ya seen a Biker coming out of a golf club all dressed up in yellow pants jumping on a golf cart what would call him??

I see another rider I wave. Most of the time they wave back. Beyond that, I don't give a rats ass if they 'gots' or 'don't gots,'/yuppie mentality or not. I'm out there for ME to enjoy . . . not anybody else.
As far as tellin' inexperienced riders to stay home: Everybody was, at one time, inexperienced. Some are now experienced; some are now dead because of their inexperience. Seems to me to be the nature of the beast. But just how the hell is someone going to get experience if he/she isn't getting out there? It's sort of like telling a person he can't ever get in the water until he knows how to swim.

Thats right they need to learn more of thier riding skills starting with basic mini bikes , Dirt Bikes, as the bike grows up instead of jumping into conclusions to get themself killed wow sad news!

Owning a boat was just part of the story and I don't even know why you brought that up, unless it was something that offended you, likle maybe the "yuppie fuck" remark. Which you might relateto.

According to Dictionary.com a "yuppie" is, (and I quote), "acronym from young urban professional," . I'm not young, (65), I'm a snobird, (Yuma, AZ and Billings, MT, don't think that's urban,) and I'm retired. When I was 14 years old, (1958), I bought a Cushman motorscooter, (basket case), put it together, rode it for two years until I could afford a bike and I've been on two wheels ever since. I'm a snobird because I want to ride year round. As far as I'm concerned, the bottom line is the ride, not how you look, not who you ride with, not what you ride, but the wind in your face, the freedom of the ride. I think the biggest problem with "yucking fuppies", is they think they can drink and ride. I've "been there done that", It doesn't work. You can't drink and ride. There are alot of people who think they can drink and ride, (or drive), but they "drink one, spill one, and give one away", and they get drunk. If I meet you on the road I'll speak, I don't care who you are, just please be semi sober. I don't want to help scrape you off the road, cause, (as someone dear to me once said), "it hurts my heart).
