got me a 78 ironhead and am planning on hard tail,i also found me an amen 42 inch springer front end.has anyone attemped to stretch and rake using original neck and just adding to it?any tips would be appreceated

I know people do it so they don't have to go thru the hassle of getting new numbers. I also know that to be doing that you will need a frame jig so everything is straight when you get done. How this all get's done I couldn't tell you, but once in a while I think about having a hailtail put on the shovel, but think better of it.

It's always nice to see how members did make out after they ask questions and start projects. Could he be busy in the garage?

Some of these projects can take years, it's like therapy.

got the hard tail on and have mocked up with the engine,now time to tear down engine and stroke it.pics are on my page if you want to check them out
