As administrator, I have access to everything and every part of the site, and I can see all groups, whether they're private or not.  I'm not watching you, looking over your shoulder, reading your emails, or policing your activities.  I don't read all of your blogs, forum posts, polls, look at all your profile pages, comments, or all of your photos.  As much as I love all of you, I don't have the time to keep up with it all.  I like to enjoy the place and continue creating new ideas for the site that will make it stand out above the rest.  Let me be clear that while I don't police the site, you're still responsible and accountable for your activity here.  That means I have the right to check things out if I am alerted to any harassment, illegal, or other questionable activity.  I hope that answers the questions about privacy on the website.  If not, please ask me.

If you're concerned about privacy outside this website, I would put out the same caution that others have already said.  The internet is not a secure channel.  As long as you're not doing anything that would interest the FBI, CIA, DEA, IRS, or your local PD, I don't think you have anything to worry about.  Seriously, the place is for fun and enjoyment, and if there's anything going on that is more serious than that, I would advise you take it elsewhere.

I appreciate all the support from those who see the place for what it is - just a simple place for enjoyment and fun, and where we can share the ride together.  Sometimes, the place gets thick in conflict and craziness.  The place is free to you, but not to me.  I'm hoping that somehow we find a way to entice advertisers to come here and pay for space.  In the meantime, I'm paying rent on the house, so please just enjoy it, and if you're worried about anything, including privacy or anything else, just keep your stuff wired tight so you and I both don't have to worry about it.

Tony, so very well written as always, and should bring clarity and comfort to everyone in knowing the way things are here. You have done an awesome job to build this house and continue to administer it daily in the same way. Hell you've already pulled out all your hair so its smooth sailing now anyway right?   Yea...
...but truly thank you Tony, for all you do to keep this a fun and great place for everyone to enjoy.  


I wanted to mention a thought to everyone that enjoys it here..and that's a whole bunch of us now...a lot of members have come from other sites or paid for membership or dues on other sites, and Tony has never wanted to do that (even as he said above),so is trying to bring in advertisers to pay for it. 
Well I know he would never mention it but I would...if you appreciate the house and can and want to show your appreciation, there is a DONATE button at the very top of the page.
 
A few members have told me that they wished they would have paid for this cool site instead of others cuz this one is so much better. While I was back in Indiana we were discussing it too and they were thinking that if everyone that appreciated it pitched in just $5.00 it might even pay the rent each month. Everything helps, so I just wanted to pass on the idea here for those that can and want to. Yes its hard times out there for everyone so no one would want anyone to give if it hurt, so I look at it this way...if you'd buy Tony a drink if ya were at the bar with him, then think about buying him one thru the donate button.

Another way to contribute that rewards you at the same time is buying a VIP MEMBERSHIP. It gives ya lots of points and a prestigous VIP plaquard under your name...those can be found under the "shopping" page.

Actually, that's a pretty good, fair idea.  If there could be some way to make it where if someone visits your page you have the ability to reciprocate, ONCE.  That should end anyone feeling abused when one of the lurkers pass through the page.  Also it would set a precedent that when one makes their page private they also tie their own hands as to how they treat others. 

Basically, "you want someone to be your friend w/o knowing anything about you, OK, you first!"  I like it.

But, HDW2, I disagree he "blew perfect track record" because we all have the same ability to keep others from our page.  You want to keep others from your page, your choice.  You don't, your choice.  Each person has the ability to exercise the same choice.
