Today RumbleMonkey and I were on our way to pick up Old Fart to go to the Support the Troops event and I took a little spill. Im fine with just some brusing; ribs, arm and leg on the left side. My bike took some damage as well, obviously. I'll live and so will the bike. I have already started removing damaged parts. So needles to say I wont be riding for a bit.

So now the stupid news... We were stopping to get some cigars but I missed the first drive way and went to make the turn in the second one and because I wasn't prepared to stop at this place I was breaking hard. I didn't hit the breaks hard enough to lock up the back tire but never the less the back wheel slide out to my left because it is practically bald!! So I attemted to stear into the slide and was going fine untill the back tire decided to grab.

The moral of the story people... don't try and save money by getting as much as you can out of a tire on a bike. Change the damn thing!!

Well bless yer heart Jabe !!!  Sorry to hear you had to learn that lesson the hard way.....been there and done that myself.  Glad to hear you and the bike are okay.  

Seems that way things work right, we all have to learn the hard way.
