Just got done changing the oil in my 07 fattie and I have an obversation....

w-t-f was HD thinking when it placed the oil filter so when you
 removed it you dump oil all over your clean frame & voltage
regulator etc.

My 94 Wide Glide filter was in the same !@#*% place

try this...before loosening the filter drain the tank and stick  an icepick in the SIDE of the filter and have a catchpan at the ready....(I am into metrics but i work on my bosses hog...a lot! snicker)
