I just road in a bike procession for a fallen rider we knew here in Des Moines. ALR members turned out and did a great job of organizing the bike procession, and they directed all the peel offs along the way to block off intersections.  Despite the fact that it was cold and rainy, there were 50 - 60 bikes.  I'm sure that some of the ALR members that came out to help didn't even know the guy but they were there in the pouring rain with us anyway.  The family said it was heart-warming for them to see the large turnout of bikes.
