More on bike Week 2010. We can't say for sure because we were not able to attend the real main events such as T-shirt, Cole slaw, bikini, etc contests or bike shows. Perhaps this was why we saw few real BIKERS. Those on old skool bikes, choppers, bobbers, even modern motorcycles that still are built to look like the bikes us old farts know and love, were outnumbered. By far, those SPORT BIKES dominated the scene. Some mentioned these are Yuppy bikers. The names HDW2 used were RIGHT ON for these... Read More
Jack Stadel’s Sweetheart Run Auburn, California There are days when I wake up knowing this day will have special meaning. Though it is a day of loving obligation by way of charitable work at that moment, I didn’t care. I knew it was late but I just didn’t want to get out of my very, warm bed. Guilt has overcome me, by now, because I have been ignoring three adorable Yorkies (on purpose). The dogs are licking my face, while I am trying to sleep, reminding me that they have to d... Read More

Rick Fairless and Strokers Dallas I am a creature of habit…vulnerable to routine…what I am not is a master of spontaneity. However, on occasion I manage to do the unthinkable and surprise myself by impulsively acting on an idea and to my amazement I actually have a better time because I did nothing to make the day a success. I was not responsible for having a great time nor was I expected to…but I did none-the-less. Visiting with Rick Fairless at Strokers Dallas was one of those ver... Read More
2nd Annual Renegade Rendezvous Dixon, October 20, 2007 It was quite a ride from home to Dixon but well worth it. I was excited about this event and had heard that Troy really knew how to put on a jamming party and I was ready for it. The parking lot was already filling up with bikes and people in black leather’s were grouped together and unraveling their outerwear piece by piece. Everyone seemed anxious to get inside the Dixon County Fairgrounds. As we wa... Read More
Women and Motorcycle Events. Striking sequins bikini’s….and oh…yeah….34DD breasts… I had a haunting conversation with a very beautiful 50 year-old, woman and close friend of mine. This topic is an important one for men and women to discuss and bring out into the open. If it hasn’t been the topic of many heated discussions already…..it probably will be tonight. I thought about asking a special friend of mine and her husband (both biker enthusiasts... Read More
Redwood’s 31st Annual Blowout Biker Event! The Redwood Run is one of the most beloved old school biker events in the Country. Each year, I look forward to this event much like I anticipate Christmas with the family. I have made many friends throughout the years, who are like high-school alumni returning to their class reunion and I get to participate in the insanity of it all. It’s the best! I have camped at the event before and it is best for you to experience the entire event... Read More

Got myself deep into four bikes sites, two RV sites, two car sites, and plain ole e-mailin friends and relatives. Ya’d think I wouldn’t have time to thunk. Well, began sorta like this….I think. I was sippin a bottle of cheap beer when a vision of the old West flashed into my head. I was soon th... Read More
Some of these are pretty funny, mostly because they are so true, and the real and truthful shit in life is the most entertaining and many times insiteful.
